President of Khandesh College Education Society

Our president, Mr. Nanadkumar G. Bendale, is a multifarious personality. An academician par excellence, he is also an industrialist and agriculturist as well. Born in the family of renowned physician Dr. G. D. Bendale, he has pursued his B. Sc. degree in agriculture and then went on to complete his masters (M. Sc. agriculture), where he bagged gold medal with distinction. Alongwith a working experience in U.S. he has moved around the globe and visited numerous countries such as UK, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Africa, etc., in search of better academic options for institutional development.

He is a true team builder, effective at nurturing, supporting, motivating and inspiring. His strong communication, apt counseling and passion for academic excellence are the guiding forces behind the dedicated efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff. Since 1980, he is involved with the Khandesh College Education Society and today he is leading the team from front as its president. His visionary leadership has given rise to establishment of 'JalaSRI', 'Soham Department of Yoga and Naturopathy', Ekalaya Krida Sankul, ViViDhaTa research and training centre, Dnyanjyot Institute of Competitive Excellence, Mother Teressa health care centre, Indoor shooting range, 'Ojaswini' Department of Fine Arts, 'Swarada' Department of music and a swimming pool of Olympic size and standards.

He is an excellent role model for students and staff members, who looks after the individual needs of the students and staff. He is adaptable, flexible and open-minded.

Institutional Profile

As the first institution of Khandesh College Education Society, the Moolji Jaitha College was set up in 1945. Since then, it has been a long journey, through almost 72 years, and the college has vibrantly marched upward by adding various graduate, post-graduate and doctoral courses. The need of the hour is ‘skill-based courses’ and this institute has rightly initiated the B. Voc., as an innovation in the academic programmes.

The visionary leadership of Pradnyavant Mr. Nandkumar Bendale (President, KCES) is the driving force behind our entire educational movement. All along these years, the college has been marching towards newer and higher academic goals by leaps and bounds. Today, the M. J. College is committed to offer the best in education and provide individual attention to every student.

A great emphasis is laid on triggering research aptitude amongst students through innovative experiments. The college, having a sprawling campus of over 25 acres, provides space for academic infrastructure for its junior and senior wings. The college runs state-of-the-art library, hostels, competitive examination, students’ consumer store, and Yoga centre. Along with these, we also provide recreational facilities such as sports complex (indoor and outdoor), swimming pool, play grounds, etc.

It is due to the zealous and ardent efforts of the trustees of KCES that our college has achieved the academic leadership and has been awarded by UGC the status of ‘College of Excellence’. The M J College, therefore, stands out as a launch-pad towards great academic achievements for the youngsters of our country. One of our first citizens, Hon. Mrs Pratibhatai Patil (the former President of India), also happens to be our alumna.

President's Message

    Moolji Jaitha college, the pioneering institute of the Khandesh College Education Society, has been one of the most favoured one. It has kept its high standard of education right from its inception in 1945. Today, it is one of the premier academic institutions in Khandesh region, committed to achieve the highest academic standards. It is due to the dedicated efforts of its teaching and non-teaching members that it has been conferred with the status of ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ and then, the ‘College of Excellence’ by UGC and ‘DBT Star College’ by Ministry of Science and Technology. It is a ISO 9001:2008 certified college since 2007. As a result, it has been bestowed with the prestigious 'A+' grade twice by NAAC during 2004 and 2012. As an academician, I believe that the reputation of this institute lies in the fact that it provides an opportunity to choose and enroll in academic programmes that are best suited to the students. Known for its educational, cultural, social and spiritual enterprises, it also offers an education that promotes innovation, kindles creativity and instills ethical practices.

    Apart from the routine academic exercises, the students get practical experience in varied co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, providing them a training-ground to meet the challenges in life. As a result, M.J. college has proven its metal in academics, as well as, sports. A total of 59 its students have appeared in the merit list of the North Maharashtra University during 2015-16 and at the same time it has made a hattrick of winning the General Championship of Yuvarang, the youth festival. Since 2015, the college has initiated two dream projects, ‘Sports Talent Search’ and ‘Art Talent Search’, to identify talented students and nurture them to rise at national and international horizons. 'Budding Researchers' Scheme' is also an innovation for developing research aptitude amongst students.

    As per the aspirations of Late Dr. Annasaheb Bendale, the college is marching towards higher goals in education and I am confident, in the present competitive environment, only the fittest will survive. Hence, this M. J. college will emerge as one of the best educational institutes in this country.

Institutions Run By KCE Society

Known as 'A profound academic movement', the Khandesh College Education Society is a premier institution that provides quality education to the students of all grades and standards. The Society has established several educational institutions that cater to the needs from KG (Kinder Garden) to PG (Post graduation). Now there are 24 educational institutions run by KCE Society who all pledge to the same unflinching principle of offering educational instructions par excellence.

These academic centres work in close association with each other resulting in a synergy that proves ultimately beneficial to the students of all these institutions. The expertise and experience together with the infrastructural facilities of these institutions are put to use, as and when required, to prune the personality of the students.
